About

Growth technologist, founder, operator, and investor.

Mari Luukkainen

I'm a growth technologist with two decades of hands-on work. I started at 12 after earning an affiliate commission from a Fallout 2 fan site and grew from a self-taught builder into a founder, operator, and investor.

I helped build the largest home-cleaning scaleup in the Nordics, then spent six years in early-stage venture capital working with more than a hundred pre-seed teams.

I founded Herizon.io to help international talent become employable at scale in the Nordics.

Now I build my own portfolio of internet companies with Cursor, am a Cursor ambassador, run Herizon, and teach people how to build with AI.

Shopify isn't built for programmatic SEO. But metaobjects, Liquid templates, and a Node.js script made it work.

Why most AI startups have a distribution problem, not a tech problem

March 10, 2026

Everyone's building on the same foundation models. The ones who win won't have better AI. They'll have better distribution.

The generational shift that broke your go-to-market

March 9, 2026

By 2034, 80% of the workforce will be Millennials, Gen Z, and Gen Alpha. If your GTM still targets the people who bought from you in 2015, you're marketing to a shrinking audience.
